Question

As I have a certain position in real life, I did not register with my official e-mail. Sadly, it seems like the e-mail I've registered has fallen out of commission. I desire to change my e-mail settings, but the account demands that I verify through the e-mail account I haven't used for three years. Also, on my account page, my e-mail address is only shown as a bunch of asterisks.

What should I do if I plan to marry?

I have found someone who wants to marry me and whom I want to marry, thank you. That is why this problem has arisen now.

You can also ask them to do the Partnering process, then you will just login to secondlife.com and accept it.

Not according on what it says written on secondlife.com.

But the instructions are confusing. They say e-mail verifications are needed on both ends.

But if she asks to marry me, the request will show up in my e-mail inbox, and I cannot reach it since I've not used that e-mail for years (don't even know what it is for an e-mail).

You already got an answer on that, read all the answers above again and you will figure it out.

It asks me to verify the change through my old e-mail.

it must be a different system, i only get requests to verify the new one..on the new one.
What i know is that password requests,  go to the registered email.
Are you sure we talk about the same thing here?
