Many years ago a Basic account could not transfer US$ out of SL (e.g. to PayPal). Only a Premium account could do it. I've been trying to find out if it's still the same so...

Can a Basic account transfer US$ out of SL?

Yes, you just need to have a payement method registered in Billing info (Credit card, PayPal or Skrill)

Basic accounts must have Payment Info On File (eg. Paypal or Skrill), AND must provide additional personal information to Tillia to be approved for a Process Credit to transfer Tillia US$ to your RL service account.

Processing credit with Tilia

In order to stay in compliance with regulatory requirements, if you wish to  credit a portion of your U.S. Dollar balance to your PayPal or Skrill account  (known as processing a credit)  then you must provide certain personal information to verify your identity, including your:

• Name
• Address
• Date of birth
• Social security number (or government-issued identification if you are not a U.S. Citizen).

You may also be required to provide additional information to complete the transaction. Tilia securely stores this information so that you should only need to provide it once.

Note: Customers under 18 years of age will not be able to process credit after August 1, 2019 until they reach the age of 18.

Transfer Credit transactions have a minimum size of $10 USD. However, that does not apply if you are cashing out as a consequence of leaving SL entirely and deleting your account.

All that above, plus you will need to (if you have not previously) submit your W9 (or W8-Ben if non US) and you'll get the 1099K each year (if a minimum of 600 USD worth of Linden Dollars are sold on the Lindex to cover tier or cash out annually as of 2022).
