Modifyable Clothing Directory

Recommended Posts

Following on from this thread about how annoying no-mod clothing is:

I propose that we keep a centralised list of sellers who do actually sell their clothing with Modify permissions.  Post your findings here and please include MP links and/or in-world store SLURLs. I want to exclude sellers of full-perm kits because it's already a given that they will be modifyable; I'm looking for regular sellers of no-transfer (or no-copy) clothing.

I'll start with some I know offhand:

KC Shoes - new releases and new updates of older products MP: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/136397, Inworld: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/136397

Sn@tch - Most or all mesh products appear to be mod. MP: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/7366, Inworld: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Snatch City/122/133/29

Krankhaus - Also provides texture maps. MP: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/145129

Phae Bodyworks - Also provides texture maps. MP: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/178147

Insanya - About 2/3 of products are mod. MP: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/19580, Inworld: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Badlands/156/91/27

A great Idea!

Here's some of my fav creators, who have most of their stuff modifyable - they're mostly fantasy themed:

Aii&Ego - Fantasy clothing and accessoires: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/104395
Petrichor - Fantasy clothing and accesssoires: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/25375
Trap - Horns and ears and some accessoires: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/52694
Moon Elixir/Muse - Fantasy/modern clothing and lingerie, some of the older stuff is nomod, but most is: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/211201
Static - Fantasy, some clothing and accessoires: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/43975

@Kristin Linden

Would it be possible to make this thread a stickie, please?

Thank you!

There currently aren't any sticky threads in Fashion.

Wouldn't creating one for this topic show favoritism/preference to certain brands and unfairness to others?

I dislike no-mod clothing too, but I don't think the subject deserves sticky status.

Fine then. Don't make it easy for people to find important and useful information. Be petty.

Meva, Asteroidbox, The Forge and R2 Fashion are some of my favorites that are also modifiable. Hotdog, Contraption and Cerberus X-ing too however the later 2 don’t necessarily specialize in only clothes.

You see?
The whole context is totally wrong and is very similar to a committee creating a blacklist.
A very dangerous thing that could even get out of hand and cause serious damage.
I would suggest someone to close this thread.

This is the exact opposite of a blacklist. Naming and shaming (i.e negative comments) about a person or store are not allowed but this is a thread of positive comments, basically listing where people can obtain desired products. As long as people aren't blatantly advertising their own stores, that is allowed on the forum.

Seems like a wrong hobby to me anyway.
Not to mention the fact that the root of your thread is based on another thread where a dissatisfied customer asks the LL to limit the permissions that creatives set to their products and therefore their copyright.
This is why the whole context gives me the feeling of a committee created to boycott rather than suggest.
Then do as you like.
I think I understand your idea and it's not bad, in fact, I like it. But wouldn't it be better for that to create your own personal blog?

What's the difference between a personal blog and here? Probably the fact that people cannot openly list the stores they shop at. Her topic is better for a forum of discussion not a place of review.

Oo. I didn't realize Caboodle was mod. Is it just the fatpacks? I have some singles from them that aren't mod. This would certainly entice me to buy their fatpacks lol..

I often purchase fat packs so having mod option with those is great.

I'll throw one of my favorite stores out there.   I usually buy fat packs as they are reasonably priced* in this store and when I've got a look/style I like i just pull the scripts out.  that's my biggest mod desire.

"Neve by Cold Logic"  https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/103006

(edit to add) *for a given value of "reasonably priced".  I know that's a subjective term, but how the products are bundled at Neve and the final price the fat pack inclines me most often to simply buy the everything bundle rather than limiting myself so a smaller option set.
