ID for age verification

I have a PDF file with a copy of my ID for Age verification, but the file is heavy (24MB) . How to lower it to 5MB?

Normally you do not need to proide the actual documents for verification.  All that LL expects usually is

A few simple details about your identity, including:

• Name
• Date of birth
• Address

Additionally, you must provide specific identifying information depending on where you live, such as:

• A driver's license number
• Passport
• National ID card number
• The last four digits of a Social Security number

If you are a premium or Concierge customer and you experience difficulty verifying your identity on the Second Life website, you may submit a new support case to verify your account manually. I assume that you have had trouble with the simple verification procedure and that this is what you are trying to do.

1. Visit https://support.secondlife.com/create-case/
2. Choose Account Issue from the first dropdown menu.
3. Choose Manual Age Verification from the next dropdown menu that appears.
4. Click Choose File to attach an electronic (scanned) copy of a Government issued identification that has your name and date of birth clearly displayed. This identification can be a birth certificate, driver's license, passport, state ID or national ID.
5. Click Submit.

Normally, a scanned file of a simple document like these is very small. If your image is very large as a PDF file, I suggest scanning it again and saving in JPG format, which should be much more compact.

Hello. I guess you need a program to convert your .pdf file to .jpg

Alternatively use a scanner, if you haven't go somewhere and ask for it, save your id's pic in a memory stick, transfer it to your computer and that's all.
