While the ladies of the forums are indeed wonderful, they represent a tiny fraction of the ladies in SL as a whole. The best way to find that special someone is to get out in world. Do things you like, and meet people as you go.

You may have a bit more luck inworld if you worked on your profile.  Nothing at all in your picks and always the first thing I look at when someone messages me.  I'd also suggest being more selective on which groups are shown unless you prefer to.let people know what you're into using those.

What kind of things do you like to do inworld?  Exploring, shopping, taking pics, gaming, RP, science lectures, book clubs, anime, live music?  What times and how often are you online?  Are you an introvert looking for an extrovert to adopt you and take you to places of their choosing?

   Generally speaking, only people who advocate prostitution to be embraced as a legal activity care to use the term 'sex worker'; to people who aren't involved in that very small demographic it concerns, the words 'prostitute' and 'whore' are still commonly in use.

   Not being 'pro-prostitution' doesn't mean one is 'anti-women' in any way, shape, or form. "Whore" has a pejorative connotation.  It does NOT mean the same thing as "prostitute" or "sex worker".  Using it so casually is as offensive as claiming the N-word just means "black".  You'd be well advised to drop it from your vocabulary, if you're serious about not being anti-women or s-lutshammer.  Given your past posts, @Rowan Amore, I'll definitely give you the benefit of the doubt.  I have a high opinion of you.

Sex work is indeed a divisive and contentious thing within, well, most communities, including among feminists.

It is possible, however, to oppose the principle of the objectification of women's bodies through prostitution, while still offering support for sex workers.

There are, of course, women who are in a position to choose to do sex work, and do it because they like it, earn lots of money from it, etc. They would argue it's just another form of labour, and/or that it is a choice that they have the right to make, because they have sovereignty over their own bodies and sexuality. And that principle is a good one.

But there are a lot of sex workers doing it through lack of choice -- poverty, abuse, etc. And even if you don't "agree" with the principle of sex work, blaming the women who, for whatever reason, are providing the service rather than the men who have created the market for it, or the culture that accepts that women and their bodies are "for sale" is grabbing the stick by the wrong end.

A really important reason to avoid pejorative characterizations and labels for sex workers is that they have historically been especially vulnerable to abuse -- abusive and unsafe labour practices, and violence and abuse from their clients, who, having decided that they are "whores" or "sl*ts," refuse to afford them the basic rights owed to any human being.

Using the term "sex worker" needn't imply that you are in favour of prostitution as a cultural practice. It's about changing attitudes towards the women (and men) who are engaged in the work, and working to ensure that they are safe from abuse from both "management" and clients.
