We are a new team looking for people who can play as the real-life members of Red Velvet here in Second Life.

It will be like a tribute band here in SL. This includes dressing up our avatars to look like the members of Red Velvet as close as possible.

We will preform concerts for people in SL. We will dress our avatars and using animations to dance on stage for audience.

Needed: Red Velvet members  Yeri and Seulgi (Joy, Wendy, and Irene  have been chosen already) Possibly someone who has their own stream to play music in SL. (We will be using this in order to play music for future concerts)  Dance animator or someone in charge of choreography.

  • You MUST: Be experienced in Second Life (No new avatars!) You will be required to make a quality looking avatar, know how things work in SL, etc etc.
  • Have the funds needed to create your avatar/clothes as a look-a-like for Red Velvet members. (Human avatars only) We may be able to help you with some things.
  • KNOW Red Velvet! Their songs, clothing style, etc. We'd rather you know of Red Velvet or be a fan of them to apply.
  • Able to type/speak English language (FIRST) well enough to communicate with your members and be friendly with our Second Life fans.

PLEASE NOTE: We get paid in tips/donations when we have concerts. This is not for money-grabbers! We want to create a friendly team of people who share the same love/interest and respect the members of Red Velvet first and foremost and have fun! ♥

Contact Addictedtodrugos inworld to apply (preferably a nc). More info coming soon. ♥

tell that when you get a request from their lawyers ..( that wont be a question about permission but a "invite"" to a court.)

ánd it''s against TOS and guidelines...

Bro shut up, it’s rp and pretty sure it’s known that they’re not the real people infact real celebrities think it’s entertaining. Actual celebs have promoted and commented on SL celebs. Certain celebs are cool with actual celebs and their family. Plz

Rob Zombie is actually Quoted to have said of Rob Zombie in SL "This guy knows his Sh*t" There are plenty of Tribute Performers in SL who do this All the time and are NOT sued for doing what they do best. There is an old saying "Imitation is the Highest form of Flattery" And this was said by A Famous Vocal Impressionist. What We do as Kpop Performers is IMPRESSIONISM. Its an ART FORM.  We put TONS of hours into what we do, We slave over Costumes, trying to get them perfect so the audience gets what they came to see. Their favorite band performing live for them. And guess what? We may be the ONLY chance these people have to actually see their favorite band perform! Not everyone can drive hours to the nearest big city to see a big name talent. Consider handicapped People who cant make long trips. Or those who are shut-in, They have a right to entertainment as well as a healthy person! And We as Impressionism Artists give them this performance that they would on the other hand not have been able to see. Open Your mind and your heart to those who are practicing their craft for one. enjoying their art form for another, and to those who cannot enjoy a quality performance put on by the afformentioned artists. Because We are Artists, and Performers. We are Actors in Every sense of the word. Thank you for your consideration to my humble words.

From the Official LL wiki...

"You should not use copyrighted, trademarked, or celebrity material in Second Life, unless of course you are the intellectual property owner or have permission from the intellectual property owner. Your use of Second Life is subject to applicable copyright, trademark, and right-of-publicity laws."

this applies to profits think, mainly you cannot use any of those to make even 1$L as long as you are doing it for fun i think its fine.

That’s for profit and it says nothing about tribute accounts which is what is being done

without permission it is not fine... whatever your own thoughts are.
EVEN real free things with copyrights and branding are subject of licenses. And you have none.

You do realize that this has been around for YEARS and no one has ever had an issue so clearly it’s not against anything. Qjj has been a thing for nearly 10 years running peacefully on SL with celebs acknowledging and infact supporting so??? What’s your problem?

i don't care how long it is done, it's illegal.

You NEED permission. period.
( and you can put your sockpuppet back) this topic was done the moment the rules were explained. "i think" isn't any legal ground.

It actually says For Trade not profit.  As in trading entertainment for tips?

Regardless of whether it's been going on for years, the rules are quite clear.  That people have been getting away with it is irrelevant.  This group will most likely go unnoticed.  But saying it's legal is just wrong and the point of my first post.

Copy botting is also illegal yet people continue to do it without consequences.  It still doesn't make it right or legal.  'Everyone else is doing it' is not a valid argument.
