Problem with avatar speaking

Hello!

I'm not able to speak in 2nd life. When I go to the Sound and Media settings in Preferences and click on the Voice Input/Output it doesn't detect my voice (there are no green lights). I've tried different machines and also a headset but for some reason the avatar cannot detect my sound.

 

Pls can you help me?

I have never used voice myself, so I can't give you any handy personal tips.  However, the best troubleshooting guide for voice is at https://wiki.firestormviewer.org/fs_voice . If you can't find a solution there, I'll be very surprised.

did you select the input device?

did you look at the volume settings
dit you enable voice in the preferences

do you click on the talk buton?
is your inputdevice right installed on your machine?
