Is it against TOS to create Marketplace alternative?

Hello, 

i was thinking of creating an online site that would be let's say - marketplace alternative where SL users might sell/buy creations. Only L$ purchases, no direct paypal. I wonder whether this is or isnt against current LL TOS? ( I admit i am terrible at reading and understanding the legal language). Please share your knowledge, highly appreciate. Thank you!

Hmm didn't/doesn't Caspertech have their own version of the marketplace called Primbay? Might want to look into that.

I think this project has been abandoned. Their FB page is dead and domain not bringing up any page.

PrimBay is currently dormant. Casper does have plans to bring it back but there are only so many hours in a day.

I think that that is a question you best ask Linden Lab.

There's CasperVend, of course. There used to be other vendor brands. HippoVend went out of business last year, rather suddenly.

CasperTech is an actual business, registered with Companies House in the UK out of Cambridge. To be in the vendor business, people have to trust you, because you ask them to give you permission to take money from their Linden accounts. CasperTech has earned that trust over the years.

the one thing to note,  is people will not be able to buy or sell lindens through the site,  LL does not allow 3rd party exchanges, so just be aware, you'll need to tie it into a new product for delivery and such that only works in SL.

Worth checking directly with LL before the marketplace there was it's predecessor XstreetSL/SLexchange, Slapt.me & OnRez i think it was called once LL took over Xstreet all alternative online marketplaces soon disappeared

because they also bought OnRez and closed it down
