Signing in twice

Is there a reason why I suddenly have to sign in twice to get to this forum?  This is what I see:-

LL recently implemented "Single Sign On", a wonderful oxymoron in which because it's LL, somehow means you need to sign in multiple times now.

You ever see those car crash videos where it's clear the driver tried to hit the brakes, missed, hit the gas, and smashed into the nearest wall? I think that's how LL developers work.

I didn't get it today, so it seems they've taken the first one off again, and it's just the old login page now.
