Technically, isn't it ompossible to have "sex" in SL? 'Sex" involves physical intercourse between 2 or more people  so....In Sl it is 'mutual masterbation" LOL

Too personal, and allows LL to view the percentage of the population that does it. Though it is heavily skewed.

But seeing the amount of people that hangout in adult sims vs PG, it seems to be about 50%.  With some in three places at once.

ohhhh...is that what we are supposed to be doing? I usually watch episodes of friends.  I'd rather use the imagination in my head which is much more exciting than any avatar I've met is. Besides I get to control the length and it's not this two hour long drawn out thing that a lot of male avatars seem to think women want.

You are asking the adult forum how often they have sex. A lot of people don't regular the adult forum, and a lot more who don't partake in sex in SL often outright ignore this forum. That is like trying to do an opinion survey where a majority of the people in a city have the same opinion.

COVID saw a massive influx of people into SL who like the IDEA of no-commitment fun, but when offered the opportunity they try to slip back into “relationship” traditions that include jealousy, monogamy and reaching into Real Life.

So for the past bit, its been kind of fraught and several had to be blocked/muted.

I’m not a mean person, but no one ever has to “decode” anything when I tell them what I’m into and what the limits are.

The pandemic did bring in a lot of new people. Unfortunately few of them seem to understand how SL-sex, and probably even phone-sex, works. I compensate by checking the profile of anyone I talk with. How long have they been in SL? And unfortunately those returning after years away make time in SL an unreliable indicator of avatar proficiency.

There are still lots of old clunky animations.

If you consistently find your avatar misplaced by 4ft there is a problem with your avatar. So your adjusting positions is basically messing it up for those following behind you.

If you have to set the pose position for every animation in furniture you are doing it wrong or using cheap or poorly made furniture. Most furniture has a save position for all animations. Position is typically an offset, not an actual "position". So you can get all animations set in one pass. None of the alignment processes is perfect. There is always a problem with kissing animations. Getting lip to lip is tedious. But when I get it right it can make for some awesome romantic pictures.

 

SL-sex is not an everyday thing for me... most of the time. But with new lovers there often is a lot of initial lust... possibly passion and that can make for several days of sex in a row. Even multiple times in a day.

More often it is 2 or more times in a week. But some of those escapades result in a series of sexual partners. I'll finish off one guy and I'm not yet done. So, I chase down another.

However, now and then someone surprises me. A friend recently caught me off guard and surprised me. Sweeping me to the floor and ravishing me... slamming sex. Yum. Which makes it all worth the not-so-hot encounters.
