animats Posted April 14, 2022 Share Posted April 14, 2022 (edited) Dessert. No sunlight. With good lighting, things look great. With just ambient light, they look flat. SL needs better lighting. At least cheap directional lights. Projectors have too much overhead to be widely used, and only the nearest ones are on, anyway. Point lights go through everything. Basic directional lights with a cone angle and range but no shadows would help, a lot. Meanwhile, when building, please turn on ALM and see what your build looks like with the lights on. I've talked to store owners who have dark stores, and had no idea what their place looked like with ALM on. It looked closed.
