No people / lifestyles / etc - Keep it PG - Aggressive use of reactions advised !

I'll start - Kapers / Capers. Whatever the hell these things are, don't tell me, don't want to know, might as well be pickled baby slugs. Worse than peas.

They're all acquired tastes. If you haven't already, and are willing to give these things a try and appreciate them, cut down on sugar intake - especially the sugars that have been added sneakily into many processed foods.

If I had to choose between stepping on a Lego and eating these, I'd eat them. But under less traumatizing circumstances, you would never catch me with a bag of these:

Btw, behold, the musical equivalent of capers

Since when is peanut butter an acquired taste? Although to your second point, "organic" or "natural" peanut butter without the added sugar is so much better than the more heavily processed stuff.

Lol, I like Capers, Peanut butter and Brussels-sprouts. Don't think I've had caviar before, but tapioca is pretty good.

I love both peanut butter and brussel sprouts - I even like those as a kid - but I detest tapioca.

Oh, and Bread Pudding (cooked soggy bread) - YUCK

Hmm - I might choose stepping on the Lego.

They're all almost all acquired tastes. FTFY.

I can totally see that they'd hate it at first. That said... I LOVE COFFEE! I neeeed coffee! Stat. Now! Maintenant, tout de suite, jetzt, heute, nu meteen gisteren nog, pronto!

I've tried brussel sprouts many times but they've almost always had a bitter chemical taste. Apparently, this bitterness has been bred out of them recently. Maybe I'll try some again.

I'd pick Brussel sprouts over candy any day. Caviar and capers both are things I very much enjoy. Natural peanut butter is yummy - putting sugar in it is to ruin it. There are very few things I won't eat though, but the two main things are ..

Sauteed-Mushrooms-2.jpg

   Mushrooms ..

   .. And bugs.

One can cook it out of them as well.
Over cook them just a tiny bit if you don't like the bitterness in them.
Brussels sprouts is one of my favorite winter dishes (when slightly over cooked)

ALL the fruits of the Solanum family (nightshade) are poisonous, especially:

If you are afraid of the nightshade family's poison, don't forget that the potatoes, aubergines, hot peppers and bell peppers are members of that family too.
People who get allergic reactions because of that are really scr*wed.

Cockles, winkles, clams, oysters, shrimp, prawns, crabs, Lobster - basically anything that has armour and lives in our collective sewer outlets.  And land equivalent. Also if you wish to pebble dash your interior walls, mushrooms and fiddleheads.

And I have eaten in my youth travels stuff I am ashamed of now. Except in Asia of which I am now looking back slightly aghast

I was going to 'like' some of the posts above but my natural aversion to brussel sprouts (both in RL and SL) meant I couldn't bring myself to click 'like' because the association of 'like' and sprouts is too close.

Capers, on the other hand, are OK in small numbers. When I make a pizza I sometimes scatter a few on top as well as black olives.

I'm no fan of those either and for me fish in general is a no go too.
So basically everything that lives in the water has not my preference.

And that is kind of a handicap when you live in a country with a seashore.

We've been feasting on fresh asparagus all week. So good.

We also had surströmming last weekend. Non-Swedes tend to find it on the 'ew' side of things.
