Is this really any more useful than [http://example.com example] ? I personally would rather opt-out of any experience that is going to automagically open a webpage without showing me a link and asking confirmation, and the more I think about it, the more dangerous this seems when bad-actors are involved. I hope this stays restricted for linden-lab experiences only.

Have to agree with Quistessa. There are so many open requests for good functions. In my opinion this is a horrible decision of LL as it brings to many security risks, not even to speak about the poor security in the viewers browser and exploits.

The existing experience permissions are all avatar/inworld related. I see no problem with that.

This here connects to an external service. For me that crosses a line and I will block all experiences once that is implemented.

It was confirmed at SUG meeting that usage of that function will be... rather limited. The key phrase is "privileged experiences".
