Question

If you want a different linden Home, you have to give up the one you own now. You can only have one linden home. If you want a home on land you have to purchase or rent the land and put or make a house on it or lease land with a house already on it.

you can find land to rent on the mainland (https://marketplace.secondlife.com/fr-FR/products/search?search[category_id]=467)

or rent in a private region (https://marketplace.secondlife.com/fr-FR/products/search?search[category_id]=468)

you can choose the parcel size/prims you need according to the budget you are ready to spend for the tier.

When you find what you are looking for, you will just have to abandon your Linden home by going "about land' "abandon".

Note that you cannot upgrade your Linden home terrain: the house cannot be changed and you are limited to 117prims.

NB: If you rent on the mainland, as Premium member, you are entitled to 512 sqm. You may try to find 2 plots juxtaposed if you want 1024, so you will have to pay only for the additonnal 512 sqm.

Hello again jeffric.

How do I expand my land ownership beyond a Linden Home?
Beyond Linden Home should you wish to "spread your wings", there are a couple other land options:

•General mainland - Purchase inworld or through a Land Auction.
•Private regions - Purchase through our Land Store, or you can rent parcels from Resident estate owners.

In your previous question i gave you a link with Mainland Prices and Fees. http://secondlife.com/land/pricing.php Take a look at some examples

For more details about how you will buy a land and examples about the tier have a look Here

Hi jeffric,

1. Go to About Land in your linden home (from the world menu) and after taking back your prims click abandon.

2. Go to https://secondlife.com/my/account/landfees.php & scroll down to tier levels, choose the one that is for the maximum amount you wish to pay each month.

3. You can now go to Land Search & find some mainland land to buy. Set the search for the maturity level you want the land and for mainland only and it will filter out the land you aren`t interetsed in.

4. Remember that you still have your 512 allowance for being premium, so if you chose the tier level of 2048sqm for example, you can actually buy 2560sqm of land.

5. Now just TP around looking at different land plots for sale until you find the one you want to buy.

it is also important to note that if you give up your Linden home and "trade" for a mainland plot, you get a 512 lot for free (same as your Linden home - you just can't have both). BUT you only get 117 prims on that piece of land and you have to deduct the prims your house takes up from that number. Hence you have less "decorating" prims available to you. You do have FREEDOM however.

You could also KEEP your Linden home and buy land (actually leasing) from an estate owner rather than Linden labs. The cost is about the same buy you have more choices. Typically you would be purchasing at least a 512 double prim lot. (a 512 size but double the prim allowance.) You can also rent land on the mainland or from estate owners. Check around, as there are good deals out there.

Good luck on your move.
