Water Volumes?

Any ideas if Devs are adding Water volume to actual water? So that when we go underwater we can actually see it differently ? May be we could have scripts that allow water exclusion volumes for underwater structures and water depth and light control to simulate other kind of environments?

They're not doing any of these things and from what's been said at TPV developer meetings, have no plans to change water.

Exclusion volumes are already a thing thanks to invisiprims, but not all viewers support them properly anymore as they were abandoned back in around 2011.

EEP did allow us to make some changes in the way that the water fog works, but if you're looking for a blur effect, then you could use the RLV @setsphere commands to add a blur on to anything more than 3 meters away from your avatar.

There is a bi weekly meeting between them and LL developers, so we can discuss what code changes are coming, cover our work and release schedules, demonstrate ideas and concept code that the Lab might be interested in.

The issue is that they don't work when Advanced Lighting is enabled. You can make them work for yourself obviously by turning off ALM, but then anybody else who you also want to see the effect has to do the same.

Both Kokua and Cool VL Viewer are capable of rendering invisiprims in ALM. It comes in handy when using Trudeau yachts, for example.
