The "best" way to make money for the vast majority of people is to buy it with real world currency.

Failing that the next most accessible ways to make money are to DJ and or host; you can find plenty of other threads in this forum filled with people eager to train and hire new people for those jobs (You'll get a better response if you follow directions and apply in-world).

If you can create any form of content for SL there are usually people willing to buy, but that's not very accessible to new players. If you have other real-world skills you might be able to find a clever way to put them to use.

There are occasionally some interesting roleplay jobs, but they are rare and also usually don't pay much if anything at all. Might be interesting to try and privatize the fire department of one of the RP villages that have been advertising lately. . .

I know of clubs that are hiring, and can get you in as a DJ/Host. But you need to be 30 days old for that.
