I'm a new player, and so is my friend. How do we add each other?

I've been trying to figure out how to add my friend for 2 hours and nothing has been helpful. Everything has been how to add people in general,  but not how to add friends I know IRL.

Right click on them and choose add friend.  They will get a notice that you've offered friendship which they should accept.

Always ask people first.  Generally, people dislike when someone sends a random friend request.

You can also go to their web profile and press 'add friend' which will also send them a message asking for confirmation. for example https://my.secondlife.com/Quistessa or https://my.secondlife.com/jasy80
