Hi All,

If a member of my group deeds land in the same region to me, does that increase the prim count overall that I have access to on any parcel associated with my group?

Like, if I have 1024sm2 at 7.00USD a month and my friend buys land in the same region, 1024sqm2/$7usd, does that land/prim usage get pooled?

I hope this question isn't confusing, thanks!

The parcels need to have the same owner in order to combine prim allowances. I'm not clear from what you've said here whether or not that is what you are planning.

Yes, if he deeds the land to the same group your land is in, and in the same region, the LI is pooled together. But you'll have to make sure someone in the group has enough tier donated to cover it.

If you are covering the tier for 1024sqm ($7.00), and he adds 1024 to the group, someone will have to cover that tier too, either you at $13 for 2048 or someone else at $7.00.

If both plots are in the same region and deeded to the same group, the prims can be shared between them. For example if two 1024 sqm plots are used, you could have 703 prims on one of the plots and none on the other

So this is what I was getting at. If I’m on the hook for 13.00 instead of paying 37 or whatever and acquiring a bunch of land, a group member could get the $7 tier and add it to my $13 tier. Again, sorry it confusing

Note that Premium members (which you have to be in order to own land) get 1024 sq m allowance included as part of the membership. So keep that in mind as you are estimating costs.

If your parcel is owned by your group, i.e., the group is actually the named owner of the parcel, then one way to do it is have your friend donate his 1,024 sq m land allowance to the group, and you could then buy the second parcel for the group, so that the group is the owner of both parcels. (Be sure you understand how buying for group is done before buying the parcel. If you buy in your name and don't have enough land allowance to cover it, you will pay higher tier for at least that month.)

Another way is that he could buy the parcel and then deed it to the group and make a contribution of his land allowance to the group at the same time. In my opinion, it's easier to do it using the first method.

Hi Syvia thanks for your info.

So if I deed my land to a group, do I lose the 1024 sq m allowance that is included in premium since the parcel is no longer owned by an individual? Do i get an extra 10% in land holdings allowed just by deeding my land to a group?

Yes, you will need to contribute your 1024 sq m land allowance to the group in order for the group to have sufficient land allowance to own the parcel (unless you have enough already donated from another source). You can make the contribution at the same time you deed the land to the group; the option will be offered to you.

You can open your group's profile and look in the land tab to see how much land allowance the group has available, and you should see the 10% bonus in there based on how much is contributed to the group.

The Knowledge Base has articles about land ownership that you may want to read, like this page:
