Accounts marked as "Scripted Agent" being placed on hold with no warning is this a bug?

"Your first basic account is free, and so are a few alternate accounts. However, if you create an army of alts, Linden Lab may charge a small fee of US$9.95 for the creation of each additional basic account as a way to recoup some of the cost. ...

Currently, you can create:

• Up to five accounts per household.
• No more than two accounts in a single 24-hour period."

You can have alts and bots, but there are limits and rules. LL hasn't been doing much enforcement in recent years. Maybe that's changing.

Sometimes bots pile up at info hubs when their usual region is restarted, because the bot controller is not smart enough to get them back to their usual station. I've seen an infohub so packed with bots that some were forced through a wall by the physics engine. Filed a ticket on that to get some cleanup done.

I have 2 accounts my main and my alt.
the alt is used for testing the bot software: https://github.com/Madpeterz/SecondBot
it is marked as a scripted agent.
the account was made long after my main so I do not think this is the issue (and the alt is also over 2 years old)

When an account is placed on hold, there usually is a reason sent to the email associated with the account.

What was the reason for the hold?

The only way that would change is if someone with enough authority at the Lab finally decided on their own or was told from someone above them that true/correct analytics matter more than fake/inflated concurrency. Features, marketing & commerce depend on an accurate representation of actual users.

That post was around the same time as yours so who knows what might be happening.

It depends how you are using your bot.. if your bot going groups does not belong to you and posting advertisement etc.. yes LL blocks it after multiple AR.

But give them more than 9 hours if you are not premium it might take around 1 week to get answer. They can clarify what went wrong.

We are using 2 bots in our SL business it informs costumers that short of thing.. none of them banned so far
