meshhead I am having trouble with my avatar. The head is bald and whenever I put hairbase it removes the skin to the default. I am new to SL and trying to create my avatar. It will be really helpful if you guys can help me out on this.

Are you adding the hairbase or wearing it. Always use add, when you wear an item it removes any item using the same attachment point, which sounds like what is happening.

Double check that your head / body is set to BOM. If it is then sometimes the hairbase just does not appear right away (but does when you slip into edit mode). Moving to another sim may help it appear correctly.
