I don't know if they use volunteer Mods like some other places do to keep the chats flowing and inject some positive stuff here and there. Currently -- or at least, as of a few months ago -- the Mods are paid positions. They used to actually act on Reports within an hour or two --- whether the Report was a thread in the wrong place or an inappropriate post all together. These days, at least for threads that are in the wrong place, it is taking days to get them moved -- if they get moved at all. While there haven't been too many arguments in the past week or so, in the month prior to that, it was taking many days for any action to occur on posts that were totally out of line. Thus, my latest theory is that the Mods are now people that simply come to the forums once or twice a week to check on things that have been Reported --- as opposed to actually having active Moderators all the time during normal business hours (they've almost never been around off-hours).
