It might be difficult to find modeling jobs as 17 year olds are restricted to General areas.  Also, most creators just use an alt for vendor pictures.

Under 18 Users. If you are less than eighteen (18) years of age (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction, if greater) and over sixteen (16) years of age, then you may access the General area of Second Life in accordance with our Content Guidelines and Maturity Ratings.

so I'm guessing since not turning 18 until Monday my Access Content Rated is gonna be just stuck on general for now huh

Some modeling jobs pay and some may not.  This is why I mentioned that most creators find it easier to just use alts for any modeling they need.  But, like any job, you'd find out if they paid before doing the work.
