Reactivating after a long time

I'm just returning to Second Life. I can only see my home page, profile, etc. I cannot teleport or join any places and don't see my avatar. Don't know how to do usual entry

If you have not downloaded and installed a current SL viewer, that's the first step.  Then , be sure that your Internet connection is steady and reliable; reboot your modem and router to be sure, and try to avoid using wireless if you can.
