Body shopping for the Mrs.

Me and my partner are really new to SL, I’ve managed to obtain a Maitreya mesh body and LOGO head, and somewhat figured out how they both work.

I’m considering recommending the Maitreya for her too, but options are always fun. The thing is I’ve only seen new clothes and stuff mainly for Maitreya and a handfull of names like Isis etc. I’ve never seen these bodies for sale anywhere in the SL world.

I think I saw Slink at the Lelutka store.

Anybody wanna help a girl out with the where and the what?

Isis is Beleza (Beleza Isis, Beleza Freya and Beleza Venus). It's a great body as well, with lots of clothing options. You can also try Slink and Legacy, but if you want to buy a lot of clothes, Maitreya and Beleza are the best options.

Although Belleza is a nice body, the creator hasn't updated it in a couple years.  Just grab demos from them all and see which she likes best.  Legacy actually has huge clothing support but has other issues people dislike such as their media enabled HUD and complexity.

I have seen some significant decreases in use of the Belleza bodies because, as was mentioned, the updates aren’t as frequent and people move on. Maitreya is the most widely clothing-supported. Maitreya is actually my main body as well - although the biggest complaints I’ve seen are regarding the broader, squared shoulders. 
 

Legacy is the uprising body to the point that there are more and more stores rigging for it. The Kupra is the newest rising star, and while some of the big named brands are rolling out clothing updates with those rigging options, it still might be a good idea to hold off on this one if daily outfit changes are something you do.

It is surprisingly hard to find body-makers in SL and the Marketplace, even when you know the exact name. Search sucks. So many make stuff for the bodies the bodies get hidden in the other stuff.

I like Slink. They are not as popular as they once were. Slink is usually on the cutting edge. They were the first to come out with their body fully optimized for BOM. Updates were free.

I like the Original version. The Hourglass version is curvier and more popular. So, I have that version now too. It sort of grows on you... I still have problems with Hourglass' BIG BUTT when seen from certain angles. I prefer the slim hard-body look and that is the Slink Original. But from other angles the curves of Hourglass are deliciously hot. 😍

I'd demo the ones you might like, but  I would say for a first body and pretty user friendly hud and a body that has a good range from slim to curvy.. Maitreya is a nice body..

You pretty much won't run into problems finding what you are looking for,for it.. It's supported by tons of creators..
