Open Water To Sail OR Go Boating Through Many Sims?

I used to know a sim that would let you cross travel many sims on SL through waters. However, that was many years ago, so I ask everyone reading this, is there a sim or starting location that will allow me to rezz a yacht or something onto water and drive that yacht through the water and cross travel through lots of sims? Maybe even park?

most linden water sims have a small rezz zone in them, to allow you to rezz a boat.

I think what you want is the Blake Sea.

You can also find boat rez zones throughout Bellisseria.  From there, you can circumnavigate the entire continent and can explore rivers and lakes in parts of it.  There are sea lanes to nearby parts of the mainland from there as well.

Once you've found Blake Sea there's the Nautilus island continent to the west which you can circumnavigate, and numerous connected private sailing regions to the northeast and southeast. Heading north from the northwest corner are passages to even more water areas.

It's been a while since I've taken my boat out, but I think all, or most, of the major sailing areas are now connected, though sometimes via narrow and not very obvious passages. Unfortunately the world map is hors de combat right now, but once it's back you'll be able to zoom in on the less obvious connections, and zoom out to see the wealth of large sailing areas available in SL.

From here you can head off towards the northern continents and seas, or south towards the Blake sea (hang a left at the top of the "heart" region where there's a channel across to the other side and then continue south).

You could try Emin Marina http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Emin/210/61/22 it has places to rezz your own boat or you can use the one provided from there you can go north to Corsica & Gaeta or south and west to Blake Sea/Nautilus/Satori
