Oh, and a very outdated one that won't be relevant any more, but I'll throw it in...I never minded system skirts either. They were great for a pencil skirt and they didn't pass through chairs, table legs or anything else. As long as they had a good texture on them, they looked very nice (by the standards of the day). It took only a couple of minutes to make a "system skirt shape" so you could wear them without blowing up your lower half past the proportions that you wanted.

They got a shed load of stick, but I quite liked them.

SL: Classic avatars, flexi-hair from 10+ years ago, heels that make clicking sounds, animesh babies and actual child avatars (I have 2 that I modeled after my real kids and maybe another one coming once the Love Momma mesh body is released)

RL: Strict social distancing regulations. It has always been my lifestyle. It works FOR me!

I really don't mind classic avatars (I still haven't found a mesh head that I like so at the moment I don't use one). They don't spoil my immersion or my experience, in fact they make me quite nostalgic.

I never got a mesh head either.  Was struck by sticker shock for a friggin head! 🤦‍♀️

I'm not mad about cold winter days.

All the more reason to breakout the hot cocoa.

Old school is where it's at!

Social distancing gives perfect excuse for tuning down invitations when you don't feel like going out.

I also like SL shops that give really nice free gifts and gift certs. Much appreciated by chronically broke shopaholics like me..

True! I am glad that creators are more generous these days, the quality of the gifts are nice. LeLutka is forever in my good graces ever since they pulled off that giveaway last Christmas. I also like that some popular designers give away lindens to random lucky winners. I know Apple Fall does that every Monday when you visit mainstore, and I am seeing more and more SL designers having similar prize giveaways on social media.

To add to the list: I am not peeved when shops put something really nice and normally above 300L for only 75L, 60L, 50L, or even 10L over the weekend. Some people are upset that they paid more for it, and that they think it’s unfair. For me it just makes shopping more exciting.

I'm not mad about the ice and snow that forced me to stay home from work tonight..

I will act like I was when I get to work tomorrow, if I can get there tomorrow.. They are really bad down here about snow and ice removal.. Last time we had Ice and snow that didn't thaw for  3 days.. I had 3 days off work..

hehehehe

Horny people who are very upfront about it. Makes for a thankfully short exchange, rather than the protracted, immensely time-wasting attempts at convincing you (and sometimes themselves, too) that they care for things like good conversation and even friendship—providing it ends up with pix-a-bonking.

Bonus points if they’re noobs who honestly thought that that’s all there is to SL, yet are pleasantly surprised to find otherwise. It makes for a genuine chance to show them the broad possibilities.

People who are passionate about whatever moves them. It's only natural to have interests, and some people have more intense fixations than others. Even if I don't "get it" I still find it kind of endearing how we humans are so fundamentally the same yet so different, like in what captures our attention and invigorates our imagination. Second Life is a great conduit for this; our imaginations - I think that's part of the reason I enjoy it so much.

I was in a sandbox the other day and there was a guy in a classic avatar, with really old flexi hair, building a house out of prims with really bad textures. Every time I cammed over to him I felt like I was back in 2006. It was awesome.

Wish more creators would bring back FLEXI HAIR! I miss having hair that moves and swishes as I sway my hips in my 2010 AO strut.

Speaking of outdated AOs, I am not peeved about that one standing animation where I look like I am trying to bend over and reach my toes or pick up chewing gum from underneath my heels. Vista called it Sensual Woman for a reason!

I appreciate the Buddhist services in SL, especially while temples are closed in RL due to quarantine, social distancing, etc.

I love to explore all the creativity that goes into some sims and products.

It's fun to see the really old places in SL and consider 1) how much the tech has advanced, and that 2) that really old place was cutting edge in its day.

I'm grateful for the openness and honesty that people can share in SL.

I'm so thankful that SL provides me with a way to escape a year of quarantine, a way to travel and meet people and do fun stuff safely. In SL, everyone is vaccinated.
