I am confused about lelutka heads and skin appliers

Hi there

 

I am quite new in second life as I only re took the game a couple days ago after a 13 years break lol!

 

I am thinking to buy a lelutka head and I have found the skin I want but for some reason I cannot figure out how to apply it? I have attached a screenshot of the situation, hopefully someone can explain as I am super confused

Turn on bakes on mesh button and be sure you aren't wearing a head alpha.  You're wearing a BOM layer, not an applier.

Not sure why it says applier.  That red/pink icon means it's a BOM/tattoo layer

Thank you so much, fixed it now! Confused with all this mesh/bom etc lol thank you once again!
