Or she has used an real life image and photoshopped them on. I think the fuzzy part looks like it is cut out.

A close up makes it pretty easy to see. I deleted my screenshot before posting though so people will just have to enlarge the original. Might not be obvious to folks that don't spend a lot of time in graphics programs. Edited January 16, 2021 by Chic Aeon
Lewis Luminos
Definitely photoshopped. You can tell from the edges of the fluff which are actually not fluffy at all, but jagged triangles: Also one of the nails does not fit the nail bed, this does not happen in SL because nail polish is usually a painted texture on the body's nails so they always fit perfectly. Or, if they are mesh add-on nails, if one is out of place they are all out of place by the same amount.
Skell Dagger
I don't think they're Photoshopped, for two reasons: there is a ring showing, which has the same 'spiky fluff' effect you can see that they're add-on bento nails by looking at the thumb, where the model hasn't hidden their body's nails and it's poking through the 'black triangular shadows' around the nails only occur when the partial-alpha 'fluff' is in front of the partial-alpha of the model's hair or of the fur collar/stole, which will give the usual OpenGL alpha glitch. Note the 'fluff' that is in front of the model's skin; that doesn't have those black shadows. The alpha glitch is particularly obvious around the 'fluff' on the thumbnail ETA: the third (ring) finger does appear to be poorly rigged, as you can see the (white) nails of the model's mesh body poking through both at one side and on the front, but then the nails were intended to be worn with the body's nails hidden, and - if that had been done - the rigging would probably have looked just fine These look to be a 'rings and nails' all in one set, and I'm fairly certain I saw them on one of the weekend event galleries a few weeks back. They reminded me very much of the unusual nails sold by Forma Nails. I checked that store and couldn't see these particular ones, but never discount the fact that some creators do make some very unusual items. Examples of some of their products with add-ons are below: Edited January 17, 2021 by Skell Dagger
Orwar
That's what most 'fluffy' stuff in SL tends to look like as far as I've seen. Plenty of coats, jacket trims, and other furry bits are made with jagged meshes with semi-transparent alphas to make it look 'fuzzy'. My beard is done similarly (although without being jagged, it has two surfaces with a slight offset that are both semi-transparent - which is a little bit annoying as the jaw line is usually visible through it - the many hours I've spent trying to remove it in photos ... Groans).
