Live Streaming and preforming music in Second Life?

I am trying to get in touch with someone that can help me understand live streaming into SL.  Also I know there are places where musicians preform live sets and I'd like to try doing that but I'm having trouble finding these places.

Best thing is go in world and visit some venues. One of the oldest venues in world, called Merry Pranksters, has an open mic event on Sunday evenings. Some performers are more then happy to help others.
