VanillaPuddings
Hi! I'm a new creator and this is the first time that the model I uploaded does not rez flat on the ground. It has invisible borders and when I stretch it, the handles appears far around the object, as if it was a lot larger than it is. I checked to see if there was anything I missed in Blender around the object, and aligned it flat on the X axis, applied all transforms to all parts of the object and re-uploaded and still no improvement. Anyone know how to reduce the boundaries of an object in-world and what I did wrong when uploading the model? Thank you! Chic Aeon
Typically this happens when you have stray vertices (sometimes edge, could also be tiny faces) that you don't notice when exporting. You apparently checked that. Did you export using the SL static object choice? Specifically the SELECTION ONLY box checked? It could be something on another layer. If you made your own physics model, it could be something in THAT model and not your main model. Can't think of other issues really.

With the object selected : Object Properties > Viewport Display > Bounds (Box) . If the Bounding Box is bigger than you expected it to be then you should check more thoroughly for extra geometry. If still having problems a few screenshots may help If you can, sharing your .blend file is the surest way of sorting the problem. VanillaPuddings
Thank you so much for your answers, both of you, there was something wrong with my shadow at the base of the object. I noticed that when I uploaded the object without the shadow, it layed flat and otherwise was elevated. I had been trying to resolve this for hours but didn't think about checking that. But it is the first time I add a shadow to an object so I'm a huge noob. Thank you for taking the time to help, you're so knowledgeable, I always see your answers in forums and have been helped by them many times already reading other ppl's issues and your answers. I think it was exactly the bounding box issue. Edited January 15, 2021 by VanillaPuddings
