Photo of the day

I have been trying to submit snapshot to picture of the day and I keep getting I am not allowed to submitt. Either because the images are already in use or I am only allowed to submit 5 a day to the group. I am never successful.... It is not in the group and why would it matter how many groups it is part of? Also, I tried 1 photo that was not posted in any groups??  Attached is an example photo, So not sure why it would not follow rules. It is also G rated when uploaded to flickr.

We can't add that to the group because it's either already in the group, is in too many groups, or doesn't follow the rules of this group.

The image might be rated G, but is it marked as Safe on Flickr? The official SL Flickr will only accept images that are marked 'Safe' -

You can check that in the lower right corner of the photo's info:

If that particular image is marked as safe, just check your settings to ensure that your account itself has been marked safe by Flickr. Go into Settings > Personal Information, and look under the Profile section. You should see it say something like "Your account has been reviewed as safe by Flickr staff."

You can also get that message (confusing agreed) if you have been "banned" from the group for some violation in the past. So it "can" be a general (you can't post here) and not really related to the problems mentioned. Have no idea if that might apply.

I talked to Strawberry Linden.  She said this pic is in the group so it may have been Flickr misbehaving.  The group has opted out of the 30/60 rule also.  When she took over, she cleared out the ban list as well so all should be good.  Things might sit in a queue for sometime after submission.

I have never posted, well once a few months ago I tried and got same message..

That fault isn't a new one. I had the same problem trying to post a pic to a group about a month or two ago. In the end I just gave up, but when I tried again the next day, my pic was in the group. So it looks like the post is successful but Flickr is reporting it wrong in error. My suspicion is that it doesn't correctly report the original success, then it immediately tries again, and of course by now your pic is there, so it reports that failure.

Flickr has been flaky for months years.
