I'd have to agree with the lawyer on that. News stories have more depth, so they aren't likely to get twisted the way stuff can on social media. Like LittleMe, I would agree with the lawyer. There's a possibility somebody misinterprets a few details and stories become something like the Telephone game on social media. So instead of having my normal five clients over 3 1/2 hrs....I have ONE client for 30 mins...at 9:30am. Seriously? You couldn't have reassigned her and given me one more day off? Ugh! If you can't settle your differences with someone you walk away. End of. There is no closure that you don't create for yourself. Just as an apology isn't about you, it's about the person you harmed and what you can do to fix or prevent. Not an easy lesson to learn. Being added to subscibos from stores I never joined just because I may have purchased something from them once upon a time. Having to TP around all these stores to unsubscribe from said subscribos just in case I may purchase something from them in the future as blocking will hinder delivery of future imaginary purchases. Before I gave up running a live music club I had a suspicion one was doing that and also a couple PMs from those who thought the same. I recorded 2 of his shows and compared the audio and was exactly the same. There is no difference between a live performance and prerecorded in SL. Even the expectation that who ever made the recording will be around to shout out or interact with an audience is flawed. With the exception of request based performances, 3 or 4 sets & logged in to interact over the audio stream or in local and you'd never know .. this has been the norm in SL for the last 10 years at least. Pixie Kobichenko Posted July 28, 2021 Share Posted July 28, 2021 (edited) Real life neighbors. 1st mention is the house north of me (landlord doesn’t allow a fence) & they have somehow killed a buck (deer)/& cut its head off & stuck it on top of the storage building in their backyard along our shared property line. It’s been there for a few months & as such has gone thru various states of decomposition. Mr. Landlord will not intervene after myself & another neighbor advised him. (It’s all his or his fathers property & let’s not forget it’s not even deer season here so we’re assuming he hit it with a car? But why is the head rotting in the backyard ?!?!) I will not call the police or sheriff out of fear for my own safety. I did that once in another state to report a neighbor who chained their dog to a post in summer with no shade or water. Police popped by, the neighbors took the dog inside for the night & next morning my tires were slashed. Neighbor 2- I live in the middle of a newer 3 unit duplex. My neighbor on my west side has been here since before we moved in (summer 2018) & she’s a little eccentric, but she knows it & is really my only friend here (we live 100 miles away from “home” for work reasons) & is a great neighbor. The other unit has been here since early May. (The other two families who have lived & left there since I’ve been here were buying & building homes). These people lit fireworks in our shared driveway for a week this month. Behind my vehicle. They smoke & throw their ciggy butts everywhere. They drop garbage wherever they happened to be(Mondays find was a half eaten taco by my car-those don’t blow on the wind). Since they’ve moved in I’ve heard noises I’ve never heard from that unit. Mostly frequent sexy times, with a thump thump thump against the shared bedroom wall. I’m not sure how many live there, but two males in their 20s sit on the bumper of their car & bump their bass while smoking things (& pitching the butts) and never miss a chance to stare us down. I should thank them. They have lit a fire under our butts to work OT & save up to move back home- finally going to buy a house. ….with land lol. I totally neglected to mention this thing with their dirt bikes. I live in a tiny suburb in what passes for hills here. My street turns from 75 year old pavement to mud right at my mailbox, and there’s fields & thick overgrown grasses & trees on up the muddy road. One day someone from the deer head house stopped their dirt bike behind our cars & revved their engine for so long that my living room filled with smoke. I went outside & couldn’t actually see him thru the cloud of exhaust until he walked out of it & across the side yard that leads to his back yard (leaving the dirt bike behind my car)... I pointed out each time that this was a rental & not my problem. The neighbor on the other side of that house accused me of calling the police & telling them she was making porno films in her garage. I have no clue what she was going on about, but I always assumed it was the other neighbor. Ive had potted ferns disappear of my porch at one apartment & a sideswipe hit & run down the entire side ofmy car. (I could keep going on other super neighbors but I know I’m 😴 likely) I really need to win the lottery & buy a small island cause my luck with neighbors is baaaaad. (for the record I try to be a good neighbor, I let the decent neighbor piggyback my internet & pay for her to have an online tv service & buy them groceries cause they’re an older lady & her even older mom but for the most part I hermit & leave folks alone).
