So, I've seen a post or 2 crop up and did a little big of digging. Appearently Linden Labs tried to fix an exploit regarding Redelivery. In doing so, the inadvertently changed all items to not allow redelivery, which basically means that nobody can ever get a copy (unless you use caspervend).

Since LL has not communicated to us about this, I only assume they're either working on it, or they simply don't care to report it, but you're probably have to re-enable it on your products. Good news though, as you can do this in bulk (kinda). Go to your Manage Listing lage and checkmark the permissions as copy, then allow auto delivery and save it. It won't mess with other information, but you probably have to check anything that had copy and modify permissions ect.

I'll probably post this on the general section too, just so costumers are aware of it too.

Or they haven't had enough people actually report the problem to them.  I'm pretty sure they don't update their grid status page when only a small few people report a problem.

Based on past forum posts, more people typically come here to report problems (and possibly expect us to fix them) than reporting something right away to LL.

LL is not ALWAYS intentionally hating on us in regards to the bad things that happen in SL.

Which is why I mentioned they might be working on it. I didn't file a JIRA report because there's still bugs from 2011 that are open and unresolved. Besides filing a bug report in the Jira (Which is confusing for me and probably a lot of people that aren't IT) I don't know under what category you'd even throw this. its not a 'bug' per say, but a hindrance because its just a on/off statement accidentally being tossed to off for everybody.

Thinking ahead of this; LL can't even fix it even if they wanted to. There's a massive mix of items that either do or don't allow redelivery, so they can't just either turn it on for everybody either, so it'd be up to creators themself to fix it.

You gave two options:  They are working on it or don't care.  My option was a third possibility -- they are not working on it because they have not had enough people report, so it hasn't actually be labeled a problem yet (to them anyway).

As to the fix - when they first enabled the feature, they did automatically turn it on for everything that was Copy.  While that might not be a great solution, I wouldn't put it past them to do it again.

And on that third option, I would think reporting it would be done through Support Cases by affected merchants - indicating an immediate problem  - rather than with a JIRA initially.

It looks like they are working on this issue. I first noticed it last night but I just went back to check my store again today and all my copy items have now been put back to automatic redelivery.

That might be good and might not.  When they first enable the redelivery option, they enabled it on everyone's Copy items and some merchants did not appreciate that.   Hopefully they were able to simply roll back the flag on the items that got messed up.

I raised a sec Jira for it some time back. On the merchants Facebook multiple creators reported it via support.  I believe turning off the redelivery function is the workaround to stop exploits until they can fix.  Many of us was trying to bulk edit it off and it was failing,  so LL stepped into to help I suspect.

Customers can still use redelivery inworld via vendors who support it in the interim.or ask the creator to resend.

and for those of us not using facebook, they should be here instead reporting it, instead of using a platform which is harmful.

I had one customer rebuy a item so I had to refund for a double purchase and LL still got a percentage cut.. really? sighs. of all the things to get borked..

Gem, if you ever have to refund a Marketplace purchase, you can file a support ticket to request that the LL commission be reimbursed to you. They are very good about doing it.  Yes, it is an extra step that Merchants shouldn't have to take, but until it is an automated process, at least you can get your money back.

1. The group is a closed merchant group on FB nothing to do with LL.

2. A sec Jira was opened for LL as I noted in my post.

3. multiple creators per my post reported it via LL support.

4. I did raise a thread without exposing the exploit here some time back.  Moderators deleted it.

So not sure what else should have been reported “here” apologies not understanding what you mean.
