Abbey Aldrin
Hi am sure I am asking stupid questions but I was away from SL for a long time and just recently came back, and of course everything has changed. I did get a mesh head but it took me a while to figure it out and there are a lot of things I'm not sure of. I was thinking of trying to get the free head from Letluka so if and when I get it do I take off the head I have at the moment before I try to put the new one on or does it go over the old one? sorry if this sounds really silly. The other thing is when you put the head shape on does the body shape always have to change or is there a way that you dont have to go and adjust your body back to where it should be. Any advice would be great ty.

Make sure the skin(s) are made for Lelutka Evolution. Many have suggested for Linden Lab that the shaps should be split in two, a head shape and a body shape. Linden Lab had not done anything with it. So we have only one shape. Yes, when you wear the head shape, your body changes too. You can write down the numbers for your current body before you wear the head shape, and change the numbers for the body yourself. Welcome back! Try to search for videos, there are already some with this head. The woman here has a voice that I found a bit hard to understand... you can always pause the video and play it several times.
Nalates Urriah
Shape Change... this is major PITA when you have developed a shape you like over the years. BUT, there is a solution. The image shows the problem. It was made for the JIRA I filed as the Lindens wanted more explanation. Most heads come with a default shape. The body part of the shape is not really needed and just messes up what you have. But most of us need the new head's shape as a starting place for our adjustments. The 'B' image shows me just putting on the mesh head without any shape change. Not a good starting place. You can avoid the problem of using their shape and having to redo your body by exporting the head shape (all I've seen are full perm). Then editing out all the body settings from their head shape keeping just the head settings. Then wear your normal shape, import the edited head shape that is now just the head settings and the two shapes combine with last-in over writing previous settings. You end up with their head and your body. That gives you the best starting point. Most viewers will let you export a shape. The Firestorm viewer will also let you import a shape. I suspect there are other third-party viewers with the ability. Unfortunately the Linden SL Viewer does not have the feature. Shapes are exported and imported using XML files, which are text editable. While it is tedious editing the file it is not complicated. The parts are named similarly to the various settings in the Appearance panel. I decided to make an exported version of my body shape. I removed all the head settings. It seems to be easier than doing the individual heads.
