Getting rid of Item descriptions

I'm renting a house, and as I move my cursor around, it constantly shows the name,creator, etc., of all the items I point to.  How can I turn that off?  I don't want to see all that information all the time.

In your preferences, there should be an option to show Hover Tips.  In Firestorm, it is on the User Interface / 3D World tab.  Not sure where it would be for the regular LL viewer.

ETA:  In Firestorm, I can also set a DELAY, so that if I'm just mousing around then I don't see them - only when I stop my mouse over an object.  That setting is useful for things in stores.  (look to the upper right of the pic that Rolig put in)

Turn off Hover Tips.   I happen to have Firestorm open at the moment, so I can show you where it is in their version of Preferences.

All other viewers have a similar setting, so you should be able to find it.

Thank you both!  I knew it was something simple and I just didn't know where to look.  And, of course, then you need to click ok, or you keep thinking you've done something wrong.  I guess I should have mentioned that I'm using Firestorm as well.   Thanks again!
