This is on land that I rented for my store, what should I put the group setting at or do I create a group of my own

Normally if you rent a shop, the land owner will require you to join a land group that allows you to rez objects in your shop.  This is assuming that the land is group owned and the owner only allows group members to rez objects or has an autoreturn setting that will return non-group objects after a certain amount of time.   So your Magic box should have the same group setting as the other objects in your shop.

Hi,

If I understand well the magic box os on the land you have rented. I am not sure what you are asking about.

1. What group should be the magic box set to? - It should be set to group that allowes to use scripts on the parcel that you have rented (we are not talking about deed).

2. What group should you create? It depends. If land is already set to group and you are not parel owner you don't need to create a new group. If you are the owner of the land and there are going to be more users you can create the group and set the land for the group. You can also think about creating the group for your customers. That should be completly other group than the group for land. Remember that new group should have at least two members otherwise it is delated after 24 hours automatically.

instead of creating new threads you can add info to your op by going to options > edit.

if you are renting land which requires you to be in a certain group/have certain tag active you should set your magic box to that group if you own the land no specific group is needed

If you right click > edit on your magic box, make sure that the group name shown on the General tab is the same group as the land. If its not, click the "set" button to change it to the right group.
