Question

I know this is a stupid question but I can't find an answer:

I want to outline just the land I own. When I use shift/ctrl/alt/P I see the outlines for all the land.

I know the answer is buried someplace but I bought additional land five minutes ago and I'm sure you can all understand the urgency and excitement!

(Shout out to Whitney Linden, who has put up with my confusion, cutting and adding land for me, trying to understand what I wanted, and keeping her temper. For more than a week!)

Best I know the 'show parcel boundaries' cannot be restricted to just your parcel.

There is a setting, under World I think, that will color the land - one color for your land, another color for land for sale, another color for land that is owned by others & not for sale.  Again, I don't think you can restrict that to just your parcels, but since yours are a different color from all others, it might help you.

World > Show More > Show Property Lines is the setting to use, but as you have found, it will display the parcel borders for everything in sight.  Parcels owned by others will show up in red.  Your parcels, and parcels for sale, will appear in yellow.  If you want to see ONLY one particular parcel's borders, turn this setting off.  Then just right click the ground,  The parcel you click will show yellow borders, but only so long as your mouse cursor is on it.

Note that both these tools only appear in YOUR viewer, they are not visible to others (unless they are using the same settings).  If you want to outline your land for everyone to see, for example as an aid to selling it, you can get "parcel boundary" objects in the Marketplace that you can position along your borders.  Please don't do this other than temporarily though; a lot of people consider them to be eyesores.

Rez prims and put them along the edge of your parcel/parcels. That will show you the outline of your own parcel and even when you toggle "who property lines" to off, they will still be visible.
Note that you don't have to make those prims very high, as long as you can see them. Also, prims can be made up to 64 meters long, this is often long enough for most parcels, but if it isn;t, then you can use multiple of them.
