0 valerie Inshan
It seems more against the Community Standards: http://secondlife.com/corporate/cs.php You are maybe entiled to file an abuse report (add a picture if you can): http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Filing-an-abuse-report/ta-p/700065

0 LoveAngeL Lyre
Hello. When you have your real pic in your profile visible for everyone, your pic isn't in public view?
0 Peewee Musytari
Does it say that it is you? If so I would definately AR it. If it doesn`t have your name, any avatar can be made to "look" like you for a picture....Deny it is you lol
0 Shockwave Yareach
How do you know it is you? Have you asked the club owner to please take it down because it embarrases you? So quickly everyone goes right to guns nowdays -- most people are just as decent and honest as you yourself are. Treat them like it. Ask if that picture could be taken down because friends who know you will recognize you and you are embarrased. Toss in a quick couple hundred L to the club's tipjar afterwards, and everyone will be very happy indeed.
0 Rolig Loon
This has been a gray area in SL for a very long time. Most of us who create scripts to display avatar pics in world are using some variant of the script posted at http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Get_Profile_Picture , which includes a small note that says "Note: Usage of another person's profile picture without their permission may [my emphasis] be viewed as copyright infringement. " Since that script first became available, scripters have been advised to include a dialog box that asks your permission before displaying your pic, as a way to avoid that particular issue. Despite that, there are probably hundreds of scripts in SL without that option, and LL has never made it completely clear whether they actually violate TOS, as far as I know. I am not aware that anyone has ever been AR'd successfully for doing it. (Whether it is legal, of course, sidesteps the question of whether it is an ethical thing to do.) The issue is likely to either disappear or mutate into another form sometime this year, because all scripts based on that method will become non-functional as soon as LL finishes migrating to Web-Based profiles.
