Are you trying to upload one that is too big?

Accepted file types gif, jpeg, jpe, jpg, png · Max file size 0.49MB

yes but there is a limit to the size you can upload here to the forums...0.49 MB regardless of what work you do where

My guess is they are to big, save a smaller version for posting. Sometimes the file type makes a difference as well. I often save a version as JPEG when a picture wont work, then that version will. You can also post them to Flickr and then post a link here, when you do that size won't matter. Though i find that sometimes that does not work.

Once you post an image to Flickr you can pick the size image you want to post here.

On Flickr this is a 2048px wide image. On the single mages page (example) click Download (the icon) and View All Sizes. Pick the image size and click to display it. Right-click on the image and select Copy Image Address. Paste that here. Works well.
