Wulfie Reanimator Posted October 11, 2020 Posted October 11, 2020 For the past couple days my friend and I have been dealing with some noticeable slowness (5-10 seconds to load a page, normally instant) on the Marketplace, anybody else? The forum and other SL pages are completely fine. The grid status page doesn't mention anything, but requests to slm-assets.secondlife.com are almost timing out, causing thumbnails and other parts of the page to occasionally not load.
Cindy Evanier Posted October 11, 2020 Posted October 11, 2020 Yeah I have found it really slow this weekend too
FairreLilette Posted October 11, 2020 Posted October 11, 2020 I have noticed it. I had to re-do an order all over again because it did not go through the first time. I still got my things the 2nd time though.
Rowan Amore Posted October 11, 2020 Posted October 11, 2020 It wouldn't load for me yesterday at all.
LittleMe Jewell Posted October 11, 2020 Posted October 11, 2020 MP pages loading slowly or getting various error messages, especially one about too much load or too activity or something along those lines. For me, it has been happening for a few days now. Trying to get the 'Get your home' page to load has been equally frustrating -- super, super long load times, intermixed with errors.
Odaks Posted October 12, 2020 Posted October 12, 2020 Its been dreadfully slow recently. I thought it was my older laptop getting stiff in its joints; it's somewhat relieving to find that its a general problem instead.
rasterscan Posted October 15, 2020 Posted October 15, 2020 Grindingly slow. I give up quite often now. So the slowness is costing merchants my hard earnt. Anyway, just as I was giving up on the 3rd attempt tonight it slapped this in my browser ...
Chaser Zaks Posted October 15, 2020 Posted October 15, 2020 (edited) Just talked with support about it, they are apparently performing maintenance on it right now. Related bug: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/BUG-229434 Edited October 15, 2020 by Chaser Zaks 3

I've often enough seen users gripe about an issue here in the forum, only for it to turn around and be something out of Linden Lab's control ... And even then people will still gripe about things despite the clear message that all they can do is sit back and keep an eye on things. And before anyone jumps on me for this response, sit the heck down and read it properly, taking note that nowhere have I excused them for failing to notify the user base or for issues that are genuinely on their end. 1
ChinRey Posted October 15, 2020 Posted October 15, 2020 I get this error message every single time I log on to SL now. That's with an alt that does not have an MP store and hasn't bought anything on MP for months! 1
Lindens Grumpity Linden Posted October 15, 2020 Lindens Posted October 15, 2020 Hi! We're working on it. Please follow the status blog for updates: https://status.secondlifegrid.net/incidents/bntfy597f1hb 5

Ardy Lay Posted October 16, 2020 Posted October 16, 2020 Bad joke: Somebody listed Nvidia RTX 3080's for sale on Marketplace and all the scalper bots came in and mashed it. 1

Lindens Grumpity Linden Posted October 16, 2020 Lindens Posted October 16, 2020 Oooook here we go. Marketplace is back up! There may be some residual issues with transactions placed between 10:55AM SLT and 1:30PM SLT. If they are not resolve-able, please file a support ticket. Thank you! 2

PrincessTali Posted October 16, 2020 Posted October 16, 2020 When I try to open Marketplace listings in my firestorm viewer it is still giving an error "An error occurred while opening Marketplace Listings...." yep...seems there are still some issues.
Arduenn Schwartzman Posted October 16, 2020 Posted October 16, 2020 MP sales have been halved since yesterday.
