This sort of price gouging and lunacy is only going to continue until Linden Lab decides to open up the land store again and you can buy regions from them directly for a mere $349 US.

That's crazy but just another example of the wild west, price gouging nature of the Private Region land market with Linden Lab refusing to open up the Land Store. Until the Lab decides to reopen the Land Store and pop the secondary market bubble for Private Regions, this sort of lunacy will continue. Once that bubble starts to pop lots of these people will start to lose their shirts because they way overpaid on Private Regions they could've had directly from the Lab for $349 USD.
