hiding groups

I'm trying to hide a group from showing above my avatar's head.  I right click your avatar and select "My Groups".  I open the group in my profile, right click it and select "View Info". In the resulting window, I uncheck "Show in my profile".  It still shows up.  I log out, log in and it still shows up.  I refresh and it still shows up.  Is there another way?

You're doin' it wrong.  The "show in profile" button only affects whether the group shows up when someone reads the Groups tab of your Profile.

Your "active" group always shows in the tag above your head.  You can change this by simply going to your list of groups (right click your avatar, choose Groups) and selecting any other group in the list.  If you don't want ANY group tag over your head, select "None" in the list.
