You are only allowed to change your Display Name once every seven days, but you can Reset it at any time (which makes it appear as your "classic" Second Life first name and last name, or your username).  You may need to wait for seven days before re-entering your Display Name once you have reset it.  All I can suggest is that you give it a try and see what happens.

Well unless they've changed the rules, you can change your display name only once a week I believe.  So you will need to live with the mistake for a few days.

Just reset it and use your proper first and last name. Display names are just fake names anyway.
