FairreLilette Posted September 25, 2020 Posted September 25, 2020 Body Glitter...what shows up? Does anyone know a good body glitter that really shows up for Maitreya. TIA!
animats Posted September 25, 2020 Posted September 25, 2020 Why not? With EEP, most skin looks like vinyl anyway.
MrsSeren Posted September 25, 2020 Posted September 25, 2020 Cynful do good one, as does Avenge for mesh glitter, for applier then is Izzie's. 1
Rowan Amore Posted September 25, 2020 Posted September 25, 2020 (edited) Please stop with the stripper glitter! Sort of reminds me of bling jewelry. Edited September 26, 2020 by RowanMinx 1

The more shiny and sparkly the jewellery the better I like it! you probably tho meaning particle emitters in old time jewellery. Or even, old time particle poofers with appropriate kaboom noises and strobe lights to announce our arrival when we teleport in just to let everybody know we are arrived, just in the case anyone missed us. With our gazillion watt light array on as well 😸

The stuff where people would have to type 'bling off' before everyone laughed at them. I'm all for the bling. Just as long as it doesn't actually bling.

It was done that way back in the day to add a bit of brightener to the then dullness of the world. Now that we have materials and directed point lights then that particle emitter kind of brightener has fallen out of use

I still.see a person now and then sporting some bling and a face light.

Like as you say adding glow and particles to shoes, bangles, chokers, watches, hair adornments etc. Clickety-clack sounds to heels, trailing footprints on neko paws, etc etc. Particle poofers, particle skywriters as well when mesh came with a whole lot less limitations then much of the particle based things fell by the wayside, at least in the creation of new things. And since materials then as people have gotten used to working with them, things like glitter (texture animation primarily) have become more the way to add brighteners
Rowan Amore Posted September 26, 2020 Posted September 26, 2020 Yikes, I remember those neko footprints and shoes with a walking sound. *shudders I like a bit of texture animation if done well. Head to toe surrounded by glitter? Not so much. I think I've seen one that wasn't too bad. It just seems like another bandwagon everyone jumped on until it's now too much.

I haven't got yet myself but I saw a club dress with a glitter lined bodice that I thought was quite nice. I might get but I don't go clubbing much anymore so maybe not about neko footprints. I loved them. Got kicked out of few places tho. Some venue owners really disliked them. Blinking random neko bleeding rainbow paint all over their venues with scratchy paw sounds as well !! Nek minute you be playing gestures you little rando!! get off my lawn !! eject! 😸 Oh! well! and nevermind and guess I won't be going back there again any time soon

I've only ever seen one on and it looked really nice, not blinging but gently sparkling, real pretty. But, now I realize I may have too light of skin dam it. 4 hours ago, MrsSeren said: Cynful do good one, as does Avenge for mesh glitter, for applier then is Izzie's. Thanks, I like the Cynful one best. I want to try with a bit of a darker skin. Thanks so much! Body glitter, it probably sounds kind of gawdy but the one I saw was really nice, and I didn't ask and I usually do ask when I like something. Edited September 26, 2020 by FairreLilette

Lots of people still wear face lights - so much so that I've taken to wearing one sometimes!
Nalates Urriah Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 If one is going to wear face-lights, the old style prim lights, they really should look at them with ALM on and off. When done wrong these turn into supernova lights. Using the new type projector face-lights ALM doesn't make much difference as they only work with ALM on. To see the difference look at this face-light. It is a kit for teaching people how to make the newer face-lights. Or they can just replicate and wear what's in the package and skip the learning.
Rowan Amore Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 The only time I use a face light or any type of body lighting is for pictures. When everyone can choose their own WL, it kind of makes wearing them out and about pointless IMO. Other people will see you differently than you see yourself.
Nova Convair Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 What are facelights? They used to be an environment pollution. 😎 In Firestorm you can switch them off in the developer/rendering menu and in phototools/light The debug setting for all viewers is: RenderAttachedLights=FALSE It switches off everybodys facelights (yours too of course) 😁
