Hey! Where can I find a free dj program with shoutcast live broadcasting AND the free DJ program is compatible with the DDJ-400 dj controller?

I know about MIxx and Virtual DJ. I used the both and I like both of them. My problem is:

  • Mixxx doesn't offer mapping for the Pioneer DDJ-400 controller so it won't work for me if I want to use my controller. And: I want to use my DJ controller! Nothing fancy at all but I want to use it.
  • Virtual DJ has the mapping for my controller BUT I will need to pay $20 a month to use the dj mapping and you can't live broadcast without paying as well. (Unless I get a cracked version but I don't want a virus - my laptop is just a few months old)

The Pioneer DDJ-400 comes with rekordbox dj software but I've checked it and it doesn't seem like there's an option to broadcast, I've looked multiple times. I don't see anywhere to even put in my Shoutcast info.

So, I must find another free DJ program or pay $20 (which i really don't wanna do)

Can someone help me? Does anyone have any suggestions?

Yes it does. Google is your friend.

The big question is, which VERSION of Mixxx do you use? 2.3.0 has a mapping for that controller.

Google is not my friend 😂 I used duckduckgo and I couldn't find a solution. I understand the reason now: On Mixxx's download page they advised people to get the 2.2.4 version for live DJing - which is the version I have. It's the most updated version that they advise people to use. 2.3 is a beta version and since it wasn't recommended for live use, I didn't get it.

anyways, thank you for your help!

The mapping for DDJ-400 that comes with 2.3 probably will work with 2.2.4 (and older).

Most new controller mappings are initially community developed and it looks like the for  started that way. There are files for it at https://github.com/WarkerAnhaltRanger/mixxx/blob/master/res/controllers/Pioneer-DDJ-SB-scripts.js and https://github.com/WarkerAnhaltRanger/mixxx/blob/master/res/controllers/Pioneer-DDJ-400.midi.xml

You will need touse the "Raw" button to download the files in a usable form.
