Firestorm DOS box on startup

Hi, I've been running the latest Firestorm viewer for the past few months without any problems at all.  Today I was automatically logged out of SL for some unknown reason.  When I went to log back in, Firestorm now opens up a separate DOS box window and starts creating a huge log file of everything it's doing.  This has never happened before the forced logout.  If I try and close the DOS window it completely exits and closes down the Firestorm viewer.  Any idea why Firestorm is creating this huge log file all of a sudden?  Thanks.
