It would be nice if there was a prim property that allowed shifting LOD triangles up or down.

Example, with a 100,50,25,12 High,Medium,Low,Lowest LOD triangle schema, you could shift triangles like:

Up: 100,25,12,12 or 100,12,12,12

Down: 100,100,50,25 or 100,100,100,50 or 100,100,100,100

Land impact & complexity would update accordingly.

This would allow end users to use whichever level of detail their application or use case needed.

It would help in cases where detail isn't as important as reduced land impact or complexity, but still allow detail to be increased if it was really needed.

It would also be nice to have a prim property to turn on/off rigging of any link in a linkset.

This would allow some objects to scale with sliders for a particular targeted avatar's body or head and if the object has clipping/positioning issues, to turn off rigging and then be able to position/rotate/scale for whatever other body/head you're wanting to use it with.

Think jewelry, shoes, hair, etc.

It would save the creator from having to upload both rigged and unrigged versions when one can do both.

These features would require mod permission for the end user so might be a big ask these days, heh.

FYI changing LODs after upload IS apparently possible as we had that feature in Cloud Party ( a checkbox on an items properties).   We were allowed to designate a few (I think maybe four but not sure) objects as "long distance" while the rest could only be seen relatively close up.    I can't remember an odd issues with that method (like items popping in and out of view) so the LODs were pretty stable.  I was using the "higher end" version of the viewer though and there was a  "my computer is really old and not very good" option :D where things didn't look all that good.

Or even better, a prim property that allowed you to adjsut the LOD swap distances.
