I think to start with , I would have to say to the whole EEP, why? Other than being able to trade environments (or sell them) I don't see much different than the "old way" I get it alot of people never get into the WL settings and play around and trading and loading xml files is beyond some people, so there may be purpose for the EEP there

For every wedding or event I do I create a new WL, so saving them as objects may or may not be easier. scrolling through them def not easier. I can see that the list of pre loaded skies is still the xml file, though, I am not sure when I make a new sky now if I have the option to save as a xml file...?

I also copied all my WL I created and put them in C:\Program Files\Firestorm-Betax64\app_settings\windlight\skies - and they didn't appear in the WL skies drop down. I sure hope we can use our own created WLs in the new EEP version!

The little ball control for moving the sun/moon around is ok enough, but a change FS can consider is cloud speed, Same as with the 'old' There isn't much need for 400mph clouds, maybe implement a high/low scale for scrolling clouds...?

I also seem to notice comparing EEP Beta with the current FS, same location, same settings same sky, EEP was about 5fps slower overall. Of course there could be alot of variables at work here on that

Part of the excitement at the beginning was the ability to have different sky settings at different  levels of altitude. Also I "think"that parcels can now have their own EEP settings (I don't own any mainland any longer so not sure on that).  It did SEEM like part of the plan was to make complex scripted EEP environments "products" (and that may eventually happen).  Personally I don't think the time and huge amount of effort put into this was worth it but once you go so far down a path you are ON that path LOL.

You need to import each of your "Windlight" settings into the the new EEP environment. There are in instructions in the knowledge base and Inara made some on her blog also. SO very important to have copies of the Windlights that you want to import saved in a backup folder.   Some things that you cannot do (well or at all) in EEP "can" be imported from old Windlights (thank goodness for that).  The Windlights don't translate exactly but a good starting point perhaps.

By the way there is a very long running EEP thread that this probably should have been in.  No real need to start another one. Maybe the mod will move it :D.

I never cared about Windlight because I almost never take pictures, so static sky settings and other Windlight settings just didn't keep my attention.

In contrast, with EEP you can make dynamic effects - changing "weather" environments - and target them to individual viewers, so a visitor gets their specific schedule of effects. In theory you can script the individual settings, but I've simply scripted gradual transitions among saved EEP settings. I've posted about this so many times I feel like I'm spamming, but I made a quick and dirty little script as a demo (although unfortunately Blogger ate the script formatting).
