Question

Simply put, I cannot walk 3 steps on my mainland parcel without crashing.

First thing first, I have had my mainland parcel for the past few months and even with high graphics settings and a long (probably averaged about 120-300 meter draw distance) I was having perfectly fine performance that may have hiccups every now and then and some noticable lag but I was still able to build and work on my parcel. Today however (08/15/2020) when I logged in to the my parcel, I would land and wait for a few things to rezz, then suddenly crash. Fast-forward about 3 hours of logging and crashing, submitting a ticket regarding my neighbor's forest and the excessive scripts that were attached to each tree (250 trees with season changing scripts) and even after she removed them, I am still crashing hard and having to log in from off the parcel at my rental. I am lost in what to do or where to go for answers because it seems to just be around my parcel. When I go anywhere else, I can have my graphics back up to their prior point with no issues, but when I'm on my parcel, even with everything at less than bare minimum to the point I am just a walking name-tag and nothing else is rendered, I am still crashing.

No answer but I had a similar issue a few weeks ago and someone posted here yesterday I think with your "same" problem.   Have you tried another viewer?  Like the Linden viewer if you use Firestorm?  For both the person with the recent post and I the problem was only with Firestorm. For ME, doing a clean install helped a lot and almost solved the problem.  I mostly only crashed on my own parcel (not the region I have now but another). I also did NOTHING that "should" have made a difference. So I understand how frustrating it should be.

It seems likely that it would be a script or heavy mesh issue, but .... so many possibilities.  Since you have already tested and found it was parcel specific (I was guessing it was the server code that went with the parcel but I never confirmed that of course) you might try the clean install.   For ME, I suspected that my issue had something to do with two versions of Firestorm on the same machine -- ones that were NOT suppose to conflict with one another and then an upgrade. I have no idea if that scenario has anything to do with you.

So no answer, just some anecdotal info that might lead in in a good direction.    Once I moved I have only crashed once.  OH -- a little late but my crashes were graphics card related black screen have to reboot crashes. I believe that person from the other day had the same issues.  So all that info above may have nothing to do with YOU depending on the type of crash you are experiencing.   But in case, you have my input.

Good luck. I know it is very frustrating. It could be viewer related, server code, sim related, Window updates --- so many things can go wrong.

I had a similar problem with a neighbour "cultivating trees" so I sympathise entirely.

But just a quick suggestion are you sure they removed the trees OR could they have simply moved them out of sight maybe to a platform above?

As they were only seasonal I imagine they were decorating their land though so they would have had to move the whole landscape. Just a thought :)
