Hey there! So far I've noticed if you approach Second Life with the right mindset that it isn't all that hard to get conversations started, even wearing an anime avatar as I do - it's often a decent icebreaker if someone's curious at all about my look. BUT it is hard to make friends, in my case, who share similar interests. That main interest clearly being anime. I would love to find some friends who actively enjoy the genre of animation. My favorite genres are shoujo, slice of life, comedy, and quality shoujo-ai, which is sooo hard to come by that it's like a unicorn at this point!

So...anyone interested in talking and seeing if we hit it off? Please let me know!

Hello, biancalisse- I'm a long time fan. What are some of your favorite anime from the last few years? Made in Abyss, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, and I suppose as far as shoujo-ai, Flip Flappers comes to mind as among a few that stood out for me.

Ooh, from the last few years? Definitely Made in Abyss is in that category, I cannot wait for the next season/movie! Bloom into You was great in my opinion as well, and Demon Slayer is one of the few shonen shows I actually really, really enjoyed throughout!

And it's funny you mentioned Flip Flappers. I've been wanting to give that show a try for awhile now. I have it sitting in my checkout cart for months. I don't know much about the story line so I'd be going into it mostly blind, but from what I have heard it sounds definitely up my alley and the character designs are very cute.

More titles to check out, yay! Someone showed me Flip Flappers and it was a really fascinating and surreal piece of storytelling, but it's really unique and artful and at times difficult to categorize as it warps reality around itself. Brilliant stuff.

Isekei as you may have gathered, but also seinen, iyashikei, and sometimes shonen, shoujo, and slice-of-life.

Oh nice! Isekei can be very good, and since it's so popular right now there are a ton to choose from! And that's pretty much what I've heard/gathered about Flip Flappers. I tend to like surreal things (like the visuals in Madoka Magica) but I've heard Flip Flappers takes the visuals, ramps it up and the story is just as surreal. Sounds like something I really need to get on board with ASAP!

Are you watching anything good right now? At the moment I'm watching Revue Starlight and am really enjoying it!

I've been watching Otome Gēmu no Hametsu Furagu Shika Nai Akuyaku Reijō ni Tensei *****e Shimatta…, lit. "I Reincarnated into an Otome Game as a Villainess With Only Destruction Flags…") or more commonly My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! which is the fairly heartwarming story of how someone wakes up to their past life on Earth in modern Japan and realizes they're living a visual novel game they exhaustively mastered, and then proceed to break the plot by accidentally curing all the characters of their inner wounds.
